The Deanship of the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad held a scientific meeting with professors from Al-Nahrain University on 30 May 2022, to discuss the possibility of holding specialized training workshops in advanced e-learning. The meeting was led by the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Abdullah Sabbar, and the director of the DNA Center for Research and Training, Assistant Prof. Dheaa Shamikh. It was also attended by Assistant Prof. Hussein Thamer from the Laser Center, Assistant Prof. Jawad Al-Moussawi from the DNA Center, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Munther Ali, the Head of the History Department, Associate Prof. Ahmed Natiq, and Dr. Laith Shaker also from the History Department.
The discussion addressed the possibility of holding training workshops within the scope of the German DAAD project, in cooperation with the University of Regensburg which adopts the draft memorandum of cooperation between Iraqi universities (University of Baghdad and Al-Nahrain University). It also drew on the activation of teaching and digital research activities for historical sciences, while referring to the preparations needed for the summer school that will be held at the University of Regensburg in September of this year (2022).
