Upcoming - Lecture Series 2023 History, Digitisation, Archive
In the framework of the DAAD joint project Digital Teaching and Learning in Historical Sciences, we are happy to hold a series of four lectures online, from February till May, which address various aspects related to history, digitisation, and archive. Two of the lectures will be presented in English (Dr. Till Grallert, Humboldt University of Berlin / Dr. des. Nevine Fayek, University of Münster), and two in Arabic (Dr. Dheaa Zageer, Al-Nahrain University / Dr. Laith Shaker, University of Baghdad).

"THE CHALLENGES FACING E-LEARNING IN SOCIAL SCIENCES: HISTORY LEARNING AS AN EXAMPLE"
In accordance with the academic cooperation between the University of Regensburg (Germany), Al-Nahrain University (Iraq), and the University of Baghdad (Iraq), Forensic DNA for Research and Training Center at Al-Nahrain University held a scientific symposium entitled “The Challenges Facing E-learning in Social Sciences: History Learning as an Example.” The symposium consisted of three lectures.

"Digital Learning and Teaching in Historical Sciences"
The first joint workshop in the scope of the project Digitales Lehren und Lernen in den Geschichtswissenschaften, which brought together participants from the University of Regensburg, the University of Baghdad, and Al-Nahrain University, was held in Regensburg (Germany) on 20–23 Oct. 2021. The title of the workshop was Digital Learning and Teaching in Historical Sciences, and it was sponsored by DAAD and The German Federal Foreign Office.

"Researching history at Iraqi universities: Strategies for German-Iraqi collaboration in historical research"
The idea for the project Digitales Lehren und Lernen in den Geschichtswissenschaften was originally conceived by Prof. Dr. Jenny Oesterle and Prof. Dr. Bashar Ibrahim during a conference they organized in Heidelberg (Germany) on 12–13 July 2019. The title of the conference was Strategies for German-Iraqi Collaboration in Historical Research, and it was sponsored by BMBF (German Federal Ministry of Education and Research) and AGYA.
