On 25 May 2023, we hosted another session from the online lecture series “History, Digitization, and Archive”. Dr. Dheaa Zageer from Al-Nahrain University (Iraq), Director of the DNA Center for Research and Training, held a talk under the title “Digitization of Genetic Genealogy and Its Importance in Re-understanding Historical Events”. In front of scholars from Iraqi and Germany universities, Dr. Zageer explained the great contributions genetic genealogy could potentially offer for historians and history departments in the world in general, and in Arabic speaking countries in particular.
